It was these fundamental principles that caused Tom Fiskus to form Pinnacle Realty and Development in 1997. With a commercial real estate and self-storage career dating back to 1989, Tom has overseen the management of 19 facilities,
brokered the sale of 17 facilities and developed 5 projects starting with Apperson Self Storage in 1995. We highly value our customers as they are the sole reason that we are in business. We also value our associates. Most of our storage managers have been with the company for many years; several dating back to our inception. Relationships are important to us. Whether it's the way we treat our associates, the way they treat one another or the manner in which we relate to our customers, we believe people matter and deserve to be treated with respect and compassion.

We also strive to keep the facilities safe, clean, and free of little critters.
We have pest control contracts at all of our facilities to combat rodents and bugs. We also have a maintenance program in place to ensure that the site is clean and free of debris. Spaces available for rent are cleaned thoroughly from floor to ceiling prior to being offered for rent.
We care about the security of your stored goods. Access into the properties is controlled by our keypad operated access gates. If you do not belong, you do not get in. We have surveillance cameras throughout the facilities for additional protection. Our storage facilities are fenced, gated and well-lit at night. Many of our managers reside in an apartment onsite, which adds another layer of security.
We offer a variety of sizes, and our managers are trained to help you decide what size space would best suit your needs.
We do not want our customers paying for more space than they need. Should your need change, no problem, we can transfer you to a different size unit and credit your account accordingly. We have often been told that our friendly and helpful service separate us from our competitors. We want to help make your stay with us as efficient and stress free as possible.
Making Self Storage Easy
We make paying your storage rent as easy as possible. We accept cash, checks, and most major credit cards. If you do not want to have to remember to send in a check, no problem. Sign up for automatic ACH debits from your bank account or have the rent automatically debited from your credit card. You can also save a stamp and pay online.
We offer 24 access into our facilities for your convenience.
Our sites have wide driveways to make maneuvering around the property much easier for large trucks. There are lights in most of the units and the property is well lit at night. We believe this is important for our customers.
For example, after purchasing the facility now known as Apperson Self Storage II in 2010, we immediately paved the lot, added 12 security cameras, and drastically upgraded the exterior lighting. There were no lights in the individual units, so we installed electrical outlets every 50 feet.
Our customers at this facility are given a free drop light when they rent a unit, just in case they come to the site at night.

Our trained staff sets us apart from our competitors as we highly value our customers; they are why we are in business. We will always endeavor to provide outstanding service and solve the customer's storage needs to their complete satisfaction. We also pride ourselves on being good to our associates, providing a fun and challenging place to work, and compensating them fairly for their hard work. It is our belief that having happy customers first starts with having happy storage managers.

Our storage units will be clean, and the complex will be well maintained. For added security our facilities will have controlled access gates, surveillance cameras and they will be well lit at night. Many of our facilities have moving trucks which we allow our customers to use for free to move in. For customer's convenience we also sell locks, boxes, moving supplies as well as customer goods insurance.

Pinnacle Realty & Development, LLC is a Virginia Beach, Virginia-based company that exclusively provides professional self storage management and facility brokerage services. Its president, Tom Fiskus, has more than 20 years experience in the management, development and brokerage of self storage facilities.
